Yes, great idea........While in PA I know about a lot of courses in the NE area. When staying in Myrtle Beach we look into many of the one hundred courses. Some are also over the border in North Carolina.
This is a fantastic topic to add to City-Data. Not only can it cover the Pros but also where they play. Pros we bump into along the way also.
We have bumped into Mickelson, Funk,Wier, Furak,Nick Price among others.
Some are more friendly then others........lots of stories behind all of that.
Since City-Data is all about travel.( amongst other subjects)....then this fits in quite nicely. Many families and avid golfers love to know about locations to head to.
I love the OP idea.......I hope it takes off soon.
Oh should be more then that........With all the Tiger reports of this and that......
The latest on Dustin.
There are some courses to die for and some that are so reasonable to golf at!
South Carolina, NC and PA have some great courses that are extremely inexpensive.
What about the local pro events.......
We attended the Dicks Open up in Endicott, NY and that is quite a great event.
( formerly the BC Open)
Lots of secrets of where to park, and where to sit to watch the event unfold.
I see soccer got a spot......so comeon' CD......we're waiting.....( tap, tap, tap,)
first I've seen the thread - maybe needs a sticky so it doesn't hide on page 2.
Right........Golf is kinda hiding.
Not only that, there was still talk one week later about Dustin being robbed of the game.
Point one.....Too many people " inside the trap"
Point two..... No official there to discus the out of bounds play.
Can you imagine soon we will be talking about the Rider Cup.....
Now thats a fun discussion. It might make for many a thread.
I say sub-forum-worthy. Golf is the oldest, most difficult, most widely played sport in the world and it's the only sport where you can change your score without penalty or consequence.

Still got to have enough threads to warrant one though
