Am I the only person who thinks the curfew is a great idea? Everyone is saying that they think it's terrible and no one will listen. What they don't realize is that in instances like last night, the looters mixed in with the peaceful protest crowd, making it hard to respond to the looters without affecting the law-abiding protesters. Now that the curfew is out the law-abiding protesters will return home while the riff-raff remain, leaving them unshielded by innocents and opening them up to a direct response by police. The curfew is basically a filter. Seems like a good idea to me.

It's working so far? I'm pretty sure I saw photos of looters tonight.

To appease the black people around this country the cops should shoot 10 unarmed white criminals in the next few days.

Of course it hasn't started yet.

In related news, I'm glad the powers that be have deputized the New Black Panthers with security:

BLACK PANTHERS WARN REPORTERS: “We Cannot Guarantee Your Safety Tonight” in #Ferguson | The Gateway Pundit

Ironically, just last night I watched part of the CNN special on the sixties and it showed were some genius tasked the Hell's Angels motorcycle gang with crowd control at a rock concert. History.Repeats.Itself.

A better strategy, is to simply mobilize a boycott against the businesses that do not respect the community. This will ensure that the business in question does not have the means to remain open. Once the business closes (due to lack of profits), people from the community can pool their resources together, secure a loan and open up their own stores.

Most people are reading the STL websites to stay up on daily developments. I was for the people 100% before last night. Not it's 50/50. The Governor's message was clear. The seven arrests were law enforcement's message that the curfew mandate isn't optional.

I do like the fact a the restaurant shooting (mindo you no shooting is really a good one) did not involve the police. A peaceful assembly during non curfew hours doesn't require gun toting participants.

I give A+'s to Cpt. Ron Johnson, Alderman Antonio French and the police officers who fired smoke grenades instead of tear gas. Under Cpt. Jonson's leadership the phrase serve and protect worked last night because no business were disturbed.

Special mention to the New Black Panthers for guiding citizens in the right direction. A protester from Nashville who wanted to bad mouth law enforcement was escorted from their defense line. Props to protesters who alerted police at 2am about the attempted break in at Red's BBQ.

I agree that the Ferguson PD's decision to release the convenience store video (in spite of the Department of Justice's advise not to) re-raised the ire of the people and did nothing to restore peace.

All eyes are on the shaky promises uttered by Bob McCullough regarding Darren Wilson since Gov. Nixon stated dozens of investigators from the FBI were gathering evidence since Saturday.

So... my husband and I have officially decided to save up to move. We're thinking Eureka or Wildwood. And yes, it is because of all of this. :/

Now Jay Nixon is on national TV blaming rioting on the release of the robbery video. Right.
