How do you get 40 hours driving time in a 30 mile commute?

(BTW, My commute is a few steps into my studio. I don't need to go into the city as much as I used too-maybe twice a month now and spend more time in NY and California than I do in Saint Louis City).

I can spend a few hours on the lake or doing a bit of cycling before I start my day, and since I essentially run on west coast time, my business day doesn't start until 10 am.

There is nothing wrong with Wentzville if you want a nice, safe family oriented suburban community.

It was an exaggeration obviously, and the point was that people want to live close to where they work for a myriad of reasons. Your comment about not wanting to drive 30+ miles to work being somehow insular, was pretty ridiculous to me, since I would think wanting to live close to work is a progressive (and smart) trait. Moreover, for someone who spends so little time in St. Louis city I am always amazed at how much you know about it.

And finally, I never said anything about Wentzville, this thread is over a year old after all, but I don't particularly care for it. I did some work in the school district out there and found it to be a very religious, conservative, and rural-meets suburbia type of community. Then again some people like those things, but I was put off by it.
