I will try to leave the mooses, meeses, mices, whatever (LOL) here. You definitely do not want to hit a moose.

No self respecting lobster would be out in the snow. LOL
Last year, we didn't have a major snow until after Christmas.

Smile New England is beautiful after a fresh snow!

Loved the pictures, AlisonL. It looks like you are in a beautiful area. I love Maine and looking at your pics makes me homesick for New England, but... You know the saying, "A nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there."

I wouldn't have said that about New England 5 years ago, but after being here in N. GA for the past 5 years, snow is pretty to look at, but don't think I could take the 7 months of cold again. Boy, does Tennessee look great in the mild winter months and the lovely spring months and the warm summer months and glorious in the fall months! Hurry! Get here as soon as you can.

Remember the Valentine's Day blizzard this year in the NE? I was in N. PA and my airport was in another city, which required taking I-80 to get there. There was no way to get anyplace on the interstates! I loved it, I ended up staying 4 weeks with my dad. The roads almost never close in snow country, but this was a total disaster!!

AlisonL, hurry up and move south! Four weeks seemed like fun in the snow, but 6 or 7 months? Yow, y'all!

Be safe up there, AlisonL.

Here in Nashville our morning started in the mid 40's and is expected to reach the mid 50's.

No snow for us today. That's okay with me; the traffic is nutty enough right now what with all the holiday shoppers and trucks on the road.

Gem,
I am hurrying. Hub has finally set a date to move. May or June 2008, and its about time! We have more snow coming tonight. Ugh. I stay sane by reading this forum and looking at the many photos of Tennessee.
Did I mention I am packing? Leaving the snow shovel here though.

AlisonL, I don't want to burst your bubble, but bring at least one snow shovel with you!

Five years ago when we left Mass. we sold the snow blower and gave all of our snow shovels away to neighbors.

Well, when my son from MI came down to visit over Christmas the same year we begged him to please put one of those great 36" wide snow shovels in the SUV and deliver it to us pronto!!

He's a good son; he listens to his mother! Last winter I blessed his little heart 3 or 4 times when I had to shovel our very steep driveway by myself (hubby was working in PA). That shovel was the hit of our neighborhood! Everybody used it.

Getta packing, girl. June will be here before you know it! Yeahhhh!!!!
