LOL,my friends up north ask me "How did you find your little town"? I was looking on line , loved the house, it was affordable to us, and so this is where I am, and the plus is I have GREAT neighbors, they treat my grandaughter like their own,(they don't have any) but says my g-dauhter is like theirs!
P.S. I am happy for all of us that things seem to be going our way. Thank you God!

I found my town online also; I didn't realize that a friend of mine actually lived there.

I wanted to be within two hours of Nashville, and close to my daughters friend in Smyrna.
I also wanted to be within two hours of my dad who lives in White House.
I wanted a town that wasn't exploding, but was basically maintaining pretty much the same population.
I wanted a strong community spirit, and good schools.
Someplace close to swimming and fishing.

The basics: like a Walmart, but not a mall.
If I wanted to go to a mall it would be within 50 miles.

Farmland, and rolling hills.
A nice quiet, laid back community.

And amongst all of those wishes, lots and lots of prayer.

I have tons and tons of relatives, besides my dad close by.
Cousins that I've never met that I will be able to meet.
Aunts and Uncles that I want to see again.

Funny thing, we thought we wouldn't be able to leave our church and fantastic Pastor here... well, about a week and a half ago, he announced that he was leaving. They left on Monday.
Apparantly, he hadn't been getting a salary for over 6 months. He and his wife had to both get jobs because there just wasn't enough money coming in to take care of their family of five.

Headquarters in Tennessee was supplementing his salary.
He was offered two new churches. Another Pastor has already come in that doesn't want a salary because he's on retirement money.

That was our last open door. All doors closing here, all doors opening in Tennessee.

Wow.. what a cool story. I love to hear other peoples "God" stories.. it reminds me that He is in control! Thanks for sharing! What area of Tennessee are you guys moving?
