Hi,

I have been seeing land for sale in Water's Edge Ranch for a long time and I am interested. I can't seem to find a single person living there or who can answer any of my questions. Does anyone have any knowledge of this place? I'd love to hear about it... the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Thanks.

:-) Thanks, I've been there, watched the glowing advertisements, I've spoken to the sales people, but I want to hear a real experience of it.

Thanks for your reply though. Nice to know I am not lost in cyberspace.

I own two acres in Waters Edge Ranch and have yet to build my home. There are several homes already built and the property is absolutely gorgeous. The pics on the web site really don't do it justice. What would you like to know about the place and I can do the best to answer them.

Dave

I think it's the old Murchison ranch bought up by the same developer who did Safari Water's Ranch (former Toler Ranch) about 10 years ago - with the zebras, elk, etc. roaming all over the place. Clint Murchison was the original owner of the Dallas Cowboys, and he was from the Athens area. I've been to both places and it's not too bad, but would rather have no restrictions or POA fees and regulations if I'm going to have acreage. There are some really pretty areas around Athens, I owned property there for many years. Nice folks too, if you stay out of politics and out of the reach of the many dirty politicians that like to run things. They'll do everything they can to make money for themselves and their buddies and could care less about stealing from property owners to do it. And stay away from ANY property on Lake Athens - those are the dirtiest crooks of all.

I own two acres in Waters Edge Ranch. You can buy the lots and build any time later and I am thinking to sell it.

Can anyone provide more information in this property? The website is gone, livewatersedgeranch.com Any insight to how bad the restrictions are to build?
We are looking for 2-5 acres in Henderson County to build.
