I imagine all have some pretty good teams. Houston must have at least 100. Were you looking for something more specific?

Wow what a question, you must be looking for trouble.

Every home town has the best. It's pretty much a Friday night religious event.

Default Those with the $

Recent trends indicate the schools with the money to hire the best coaches and build the uber training facilities are the programs that succeed. There are lots of these in DFW suburbs (Plano, Southlake, Allen) and a few in Houston (Katy, The Woodlands). Now these schools are not necessarily where the best athletes are but they have the best teams. To see the most future Division I or NFL prospects, you'd need to go to inner city Houston or Dallas...small town Texas as well.

Recently, apparently Southlake. In watching the Texas Tech game the old guy asked what two q'backs defeated the Tech q'back in high school play. The Tech q'back being from Abilene, the two that beat him were from Southlake. Chase Daniel, recently of Missouri (?) and the other, I don't know. Abilene and Southlake do NOT play in the same district, so the meetings would have been playoff games.

Seems as though Southlake is usually in the running for state champ.

Teams from the Dallas or Houston area usually are the best; that doesn't mean best players. Adrian Peterson is from a small East Texas school, I believe, as is Ladainian Tomlinson. I think Drew Brees is from the Austin area.

It's funny how arguably the best running back and quarterback in the NFL went to colleges out of state. Some of the Texas college players haven't done very well in the NFL here recently.

Don't even get me started on Michael Crabtree.

Yep, Southlake, where the Dallas Cowboys have used Southlakes facilities to practice at various times. As someone above said, all the money you need for facilities, equipment, coaches, trainers and individual, one on one, attention helps make a fair player good and good player better etc. But of course you do have the Lufkin's too, but to think of it, they have an indoor practice field also.
