Brits and Europeans visit Spain for the weather and beautiful people there.

US Americans and Canadians have other, closer, less expensive sources of good weather, and we have beautiful people everywhere!

Your mileage may vary on that last part...

Spain is my favorite country in the world. I've spent a couple months there total over a handful of trips. I generally prefer the smaller cities/towns over Madrid and Barcelona, with my favorites probably being San Sebastian, Salamanca, Arcos de la Frontera, and Cordoba.

Rugrats 2001.-

If it is true what you say.
But it is only true for the tourist common and ordinary -
That same basks in the Caribbean Sea or same the at Sea Mediterranean.-

But there is another tourists ,cultured, refined, that, the ,looking for the best art,the best gastronomy ,the history, the beauty, the charme of the old Palaces and Cathedrals, the spirit of the monasteries for example the Camino of Santiago.Or the most elegant fashionable dress and most charming hotels and the better taste.
The incomparable joy of the "Fiestas" as the Feria of Seville or The San Fermines and many other things that only there is here..-etc etc

These tourists exclusive who want the best of one kind or another with refined tastes ,These if they know where they find in abundance mainly is in France ,Spain and Italy .
Remember people as Hemingway or Orson Welles they fell love with Spain.-This command even bury him here.-

Traveled Spain extensively its great.

Barcelona isn't what it once was, tourism is choking it.

Learn a little Catalan, it goes a long way.

A former coworker of mine went there in the early 2000's and found it weird that so many white folks were speaking Spanish. "Even redheads"!
