I didn't spend the whole 45 minutes watching the show, but am relieved that it appears they've solved this crime.
I think most of us watching thought it would be solved exactly like this - that it was a pre-planned kidnapping by a young man, who bided his time and stole this child while the parents were in the resort bar checking on her sporatically.

Such a sad case.
I just finished watching the 8-episode limited series on Netflix. It was very interesting and informative.
(It ends before this latest development.) It did seem as if someone was watching the dinner routine and probably grabbed the kid right after the last checking.
Also a problem in that there was a note in the restaurant log saying that the parents reserved a table where they could see their apartment because the kids would be sleeping. Who knows who read that.
Sad story, indeed, and a harsh look at the damage unconscionable journalism can do.

It would have been so easy, especially with different adults checking on the children throughout each evening. He would have told her that he was taking her to her parents, and she would have remained quiet and compliant while he carried her to his van.
The suspect Christian Brückner suspect has actually admitted to snatching Madeleine McCann to a friend in a Geran bar on the tenth anniversary of her abduction.
So where can we find her body, or any of the others he is being investigated for?

German Police announced strong new evidence just a few days ago, and are now on course to charge Christian Brueckner.
The German police are in no rush, as Brueckner is already behind bars, and there main objective is to build a strong case before going to the prison he is being held at and charging him, not only with Madeline's murder but also other murders and offences.
Christian Brueckner lost an appeal in relation to raping 72-year-old woman, and is now not due for release until 2026, give the authorities the time they need to build a very good case to put before prosecutors.
The German police have chosen not to release details at this stage, and are concentrating on charging this vile individual in coming months.
So there is a possibility the girl is alive and grew up somewhere else with different people under an alias?
