The only one, which was just a couple of weeks ago, the first murder in our history. Most of the crime in our little city of 50,000 is shoplifting, identity theft and unlicensed solicitors.

I just saw a City Confidential epi on this murder, and researched to find that he was denied parole in 2012. The article says he won't be eligible for parole for another 15 years so it will be around 2027 before he can apply again.

I wonder if they have done DNA on this case, or if they had any samples that could be tested? I'm pretty sure he did it but DNA confirmation would be nice.

Good to know. I guess plausible deniability is more important to him than the truth.

Before Delray Beach, Florida became a hip spot there were the murders of Karen Slattery and Jimmy Shepherd.

Shepherd’s murder remains unsolved. Many thought the killer was a guy who worked as an informant for several law enforcement agencies.

Duane Owen was the serial killer responsible for Karen’s death. He remains on death row in spite of legal wrangling and escape attempts.

Just my opinion- for such a small town (at the time) it sure seemed like a lot of crap went on.

I believe the question was "most famous". so many around here, but no one thought to mention the murder of JFK?? To me that is the most famous.
