I still hope & pray that this gets solved. Her family deserves the bit of justice that would bring. I see crime documentaries where a few cases get solved 25-30 years later. Bad as that is, better late than never.

A long-awaited review of the JonBenet Ramsey murder investigation by the Colorado Cold Case Review Team, with the cooperation of the Boulder Police Department, is set to take place before the year’s end.

The decision to submit the case to outside review coincided with the reassignment of a detective who had long held primary responsibility for its investigation.

Boulder police said Thursday that the November 2022 reassignment of Commander Thomas Trujillo had no connection to the Ramsey case. It did, however, generally coincide with the department’s agreement . . .Trujillo had no connection to the Ramsey case. It did, however, generally coincide with the department’s agreement — just after Trujillo’s reassignment — to welcome greater involvement by other investigating agencies. Trujillo was assigned to the detective bureau at the time of JonBenet’s December 1996 murder. He was one of two lead detectives on the perplexing case throughout much of its duration.

On Nov. 1, 2022, Trujillo was moved from the Investigations Unit to the Watch 3 Patrol after an internal probe into the Investigations Unit found that multiple cases had not been pursued, or fully investigated, by former detective and current patrol officer Kwame Williams — whom Trujillo supervised.

Default DNA testing was done on JonBenet Ramsey and now we wait for results

The DNA test was done a couple days ago, and now the world waits for the results. A bit anxious on seeing the results of what might lead to a real suspect.

Lot of cold cases are now going back and using genealogy DNA search. This will search DNA records for a pattern that will match the family of the killer. If any family member of the killer ever send their DNA into a lab like 23 and me it will match. Then the police only have to go through each family member of that family until they find the person. Then they will obtain a DNA sample for a direct match.

This is how they found serial killers one of the longest cold cases of Joseph James DeAngelo who raped 51 woman and murdered 13 or more people in California from the 1970's through the early 2000's.

Unsure if it the previous governor denied it, it seems the police department was covering their tracks.

The Governor was petitioned again by the father, so assuming why this is happening now. One would think doing some DNA samples under from under her fingernails wouldn't be such a big deal.
