So...did you find out yet that Mission Road actually goes to Mission San Xavier del Bac?

Yes, some years back when my husband's company had a corporate agreement with Hilton, I could get a deal staying at one of their hotels by the airport. So I tried that a few times. It is a very convenient location. You can get from the west side of town to the east side very fast.

I'm here! Yesterday I U-Hauled it across the expanse of I-8 and I woke up this morning in a motel room with a lovely view of mountains and of Waffle House, two of my favorite things to look at. Move-in occurs today, and the new job starts Monday.

PS: They gave me the U-Haul with 1/4 tank of gas so I had to fill it before I left Anaheim. I filled it again in Yuma, and paid exactly $1 per gallon less. Thank you, Arizona!

CONGRATS and WELCOME, Rah . . .

Many years ago when I relocated to Tucson from the Bay Area, it took me a number of months to "recover" from the Cost of Living Shock on just about everything from Gasoline to . . .

The list continues to grow.

Once again, WELCOME.

Thanks everybody! The move up to the 3rd floor apartment nearly killed me, but as I told a friend of mine this morning, I have a year now to unpack.

Rah, I just moved here in September. Love it so far.

You have to get your car tags within 10 days once you establish residency. I didn't know that & was late but they let me slide. It was really easy & they were very helpful. Bring proof of residency, insurance & your current drivers license.

LOL - I need to get car tags *tomorrow* as my California tags expire Saturday! I'm too paranoid to drive around on expired tags.

I hear that! Mine weren't expired, but they were Minnesota tags, not Arizona.
