I'm from OK and used to live in San Diego, and every day I dreamed of going back home. All my family is there and I miss it so much. Right now we are living in Seattle, so at least I've escaped SoCal, but my eventual destination is OK.

If my hubby and I could nail down jobs in OK, we'd move in a heartbeat.

And yes, people in San Diego thought we had lost our minds. I was so sick of palm trees, the desert and what I call the land of "pretty people" (people obsessed with being size 0 and plastic surgery) that I could puke.

I long for 4 seasons, tornadoes, Christmas with at least the possibility of snow and my Oklahoma Sooner football.

Default It's Your Choice - Weigh Your Options

Tulsa's a nice choice, but I'm leaving all the decision-making up to you. I wouldn't actually mind visiting San Diego one of these days. They do have the nation's best weather and I wouldn't mind meeting those women you speak of (you know...). [WRITER'S NOTE: This writer is single.] Now, Tulsa's a very nice place and is a thriving city with a great future ahead, but there are no palm trees or beaches.

Hope you like the Arkansas River.....

How is Seattle? Except your family and tornadoes, Seattle should be a nice place.
I agree, you can find a lot of crazy health-food-obsessed people in "whole foods". But it is always good to have a choice. I really like the fact there is a "whole foods" store in Tulsa, so I can have some control on what my kids are eating.

Too often whole foods types have no real sense of humor. I encountered one woman there who commented that she loved cats and was horrified when I suggested we swap recipes........turns out she only liked raising them and was a vegetarian to boot.......

I dont think I can ever get tired of Palm trees but the prices here suck butt and a household income of close to 200k is "ok" and a 4k mortgage is my main reason to get the heck out of dodge.

yeah weather is nice.. I had a great surf today.. Trunks and sunshine.. But somewhere down the road I want my 40year old wife to stop working and enjoy her life and watch that boy grow up.

and of course.. Boomer Sooner!!
