I actually like "That 70's Show" and know "Kelso's" character quite well.
The character he is playing on T&1/2M is not really the same as Kelso.
And if you see any similarities, it's no different from anyone else.
Johnny Depp is the only actor who can completely transform into a different person in every role he plays.
I want to make a correction - Johnny Depp is ONE of the few actors. Someone reminded me of Gary Oldman. He can go from Dr. Smith to Stansfield to Zorg.
I'll have to beg to differ on that remark. There are many, many fantastic actors who immerse themselves into roles and I forget they are so & so the actor and find them believeable in the role as whatever character.
I think much like Charlie, that this character will find his own, which is true with most new shows. I will watch again on Monday but if I am as interested as I was last week I won't be giving the show any more views.
I watched the second episode tonight. I hated Berta's constant "mind" comments. Aside from that, Alan was funny and really carried the show. Still not liking Ashton.
Jury's still out....Episode #1 8 with a bullet.... Episode #2 5 and holding barely.....Berta didnt bother me....there just wasnt any timing....they seemd to be stringing it out.....I'll give it another shot but Thank GOD for re-runs.
I'm still on the fence about it too. But one thing...I watched the first couple of 2.5 Men episodes (with Charlie) recently and I thought they were very stiff and awkward too. So maybe the initial shows, with the character-building, are always more awkward.
