You're right...Dragnet was hilarious! Joe Friday: Zero sense of humor, zero pitch and tenor to his voice. He's like that uncle that shows up for Christmas sporting a buzz cut and showing off his gun collection.
Have you heard the Jack Webb Romantic Music album? You're My Girl: Romantic Reflections by Jack Webb (1958)
Remastered for CD as - Just the Tracks, Ma'am: The Warner Brothers Recordings (2000)
He doesn't sing on the songs - he just talks softly about how to love and treat a woman.
The Prisoner was such an odd show, but I loved it! The original of course. I also loved a cartoon in the 80's called The Beats. It was about 2 pigs that lived in cardboard boxes in an alley and solved mysteries. That was an ODD show.
70s:
-A sitcom about jail inmates, I think it was on after Barney Miller, didnt last one season
-Hot L Baltimore, another controversial 70s show, only on for a short time
-Fridays, ABCs answer to SNL, I liked it better at the time. Michael Richards of Seinfeld was off
the wall on this show. Really cool musical guests too like Plasmatics and The Jam.
-Second City TV with John Candy, Eugene Levy, among others, aired in my area very late Friday or Saturday nite
80s:
-Police Squad, only a few episodes were aired but they were great
-The Hitchhiker on HBO
90s:
-Dr. Katz, animated in a wierd way
-The Critic, Jon Lovitz animated show
-Dream On

I loved Dr. Katz: Professional Therapist! Thanks for reminding me of it. I need to look for DVDs. Yes, the animation was weird, shaky and wiggly. I used to like the British cartoon that used to come on after it. I forget the name. A husband and wife who were a dentist and podiatrist (chiropodist).
I've been having fun watching the old Daniel Boone shows with Fess Parker. Couple things I noticed:
Muskets must have really sucked. You got one good shot, then it's hand-to-hand combat and swinging it like a club.
Fighting Indians, all...the...time...forever...
And course, no hunky frontiersman can be out in the wilderness without his smoking hot wife (Patricia Blair), who does NOTHING but putter around the cabin waiting for Daniel to come home.
How about
Grizzly Adams
I thought it was weird when it first came on but I grew to love the show.
Anyone remember the Jackson five on Saturday mornings that was weird.
