I remember Nanny and The Professor and The Ghost and Mrs. Muir. They were a little before my time but when very young I saw them on afternoon reruns. The Courtship of Eddie's Father and A family Affair. None laugh out loud funny but some pretty good acting and story lines.
I've been watching "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir" and I don't know how he put up with her. She cut down a beloved tree he planted and threw away his valuable antique furnishings.. which she didn't even own. She just rented the place. Charles Nelson Riley was weird but always fun to watch. And the housekeeper stole every scene she was in.
I share George Costanzas opinion of hazel The maid. hated that show although Shirley Booth did some good Christmas voice character work.

Too funny! Not the problems in Europe, but the headline.

How about Lost in Space?? No one's mentioned that. I read somewheres that the show was doing relatively well, but the cast hated the work so they just stopped it. Never heard that one before. I loved the show back then. It was just one of those comfort shows for me.

That's funny. That's about the only movie that ever gave me nightmares. Now I'm older and I'm pretty much immune to anything I see on TV, but "It" has stuck with me. How bout that pump house/sewer processing plant? Is that not the creepiest most evil looking building ever betrayed on screen? I remember one of my high school teachers, a man in his 60s saying the same thing years ago, and I thought to myself "Damn, that movie got to him too."

"Kolchak..." was the best. And it has aged really, really well.

There were some odd things that I never watched first-run but I came across on SyFy or chiller. One was "The Sentinel" with Richard Burgi, another was a Canadian vampire thing called "Forever Knight" and the last was called "Special Unit 2." The latter actually starred the woman who plays Abby on "NCIS."

Of course I watched the usual primetime network fare as a kid - "Mod Squad," "Here Come the Brides," "Room 222"... but they weren't too odd.
Oh, "My Favorite Martian," "Bewitched," and "The Addams Family." Three of my all-time favorites, and yes, I guess a little odd.

The odd old TV shows I watched as a kid were:

"Leave it to Beaver"
"Sanford and Son"
"Ozzie and Harriet"
"Father Knows Best"
"The Ghost and Mrs. Muir"
"The Adventures of Superman"
"The Outer Limits"
"One Step Beyond"
"The Honeymooners"
"Hawaiian Eye"
"Hawaii 5-O"
"Gomer Pyle USMC"
"Happy Days"
And lots and lots of John Wayne, Gregory Peck, James Stewart, Paul Newman and Rock Hudson movies!

That's probably why I grew up as a well balanced kid up to adulthood!

Mystery Theater on Saturday nights, about 60 years ago? lol
I was allowed to watch whenever Charlie Chan was on and probably the reason I love mysteries so much but the Saturday night popcorn might have helped to make it even better.
