I loved 'The FBI', which ran in the 60's. Not really a weird show but kind of weird for a 7-year old, I guess. I remember getting my father to read the 'epilogues' because I couldn't read that fast.
I remember it, too! With Efram Zimbalist Jr., say that 10 times. I think I caught the tail end of it in the 70's.
I wonder if ANYONE else remembers this, maybe Massachusetts kids would, but at lunchtime we would watch Big Brother, Bob Emory, on some Boston station. This would have been in the 1950s. He was an old guy who played the ukelele and sang. Truly awful.
When I think of television shows from 60s and 70s like:
I Dream of Jeannie, My Mother The Car, The Flying Nun, The Ghost & Mrs. Muir, I conclude that the writing team at those networks must have been smokin some pretty primo stuff to come up with material like that.
"I didn't come here to listen to some punk who ate a big breakfast!"
You're right...Dragnet was hilarious! Joe Friday: Zero sense of humor, zero pitch and tenor to his voice. He's like that uncle that shows up for Christmas sporting a buzz cut and showing off his gun collection.

You gotta admit those 60s shows were over the top and very campy -- alliterations were all the rage..
Bewitched, Get Smart, Hogan's Heroes, Batman and of course my favorite, Lost in Space with the alien guest stars of the week:
