They did. They were SCARY! That's another one I got for my kid when she was younger. Of course growing up with all the special effects, etc... that she did, she thought the sleestacks were hilarious. Not scared at all.

In the mid 70s there was a really silly show, Mary Hartmann, Mary Hartmann. I watched it a couple of years ago on DVD from Netflix and wondered what the heck did I ever see in it! It did make me laugh because it was so nutso. I think Soap, with Billy Crystal, came on TV about the same time.

I still love Dark Shadows! A few years ago I was unemployed for quite a while and watched the entire series from Netflix. When it was new, and original, I never realized just how 'campy' it really was. Some of the story lines were truly nuts but I loved it anyway. So did my kids! My son hurried home from school every day to watch it with me. They had one DVD showing all the bloopers, etc. and that was hilarious.

Ah yes. Those were a couple of my parents favorite shows. I remember Billy Crystal in Soap! I feel old.

I had to be in bed, and wasn't allowed to watch Soap and Mary Hartman Mary Hartman. But I would turn on my little 12-inch black & white TV in my room, and plug in the little white ear piece on a wire and watch them. How's that for dating myself?

I liked both of those shows. I've got some Mary Hartmann DVD's. She's still got a yellow waxy build-up on her kitchen floor.

LOL...glad I was an adult back then. My friends and I would have Pina Colada parties when it was on.
