Did someone speak to Cutter about his mouth/attitude? He didn't even put up a fight when GR told him his truffles weren't good. I figured GR was joking, but totally expected Cutter to say something smart.
I'm with JPD: how were those steaks undercooked? Maybe the editing was off, but I thought for sure they were going to be overcooked before they were undercooked. When she kept saying she didn't think they were cooked enough, I fully expected them to be overcooked or perfectly cooked.
I'm surprised they let Leslie stay after that horrible display of truffles. At least Christine's truffles weren't baseball-sized! Leslie's barely fit in the box! Sometimes the judges get on my nerves. They don't want desserts to be overly sweet, but then complain when they aren't. I know bitter is a bad taste, but I thought they would have loved it, since they hate sweet.
I was disappointed in Willie this week. He really shouldn't have put so many sprinkles on that truffle. I was yelling at him, because even I could tell that was too much. If he had only put a few sprinkles on top, I have no doubt he would have been the best this week. Maybe I was disappointed because I didn't want Cutter to be the best.
I think Ahran might be coming to the end of her rope. It seems she gets a little worse as the weeks go by. With each challenge, she seems to fall apart more. I know she's only 18, but for some reason I expect a lot from her. Probably because of all the praises the judges lavished on her cooking at the beginning of the season. Maybe she'll turn it around next week.
