I think one of the girls said, "It's too rare, it looks like it could still moo", and I was yelling, "Me, me, me! It's perfect for me. I love beef that's still mooing." Needless to say, I didn't get it....but my mouth was watering.....

Wasn't the anniversary couple divided on the steaks? He liked his and she didn't like hers? Raw pork, chicken and fish are no-no's, steaks are different. I'm not saying raw steaks are good, but degrees of rare are liked by some people.

The problem is they cook the steaks the same temperature for everyone. I like my steak medium, but my daughter likes hers medium well. To assume everyone likes rare or medium is wrong. And I think they do that for TV. At a real restaurant, you're asked what temperature you'd like your steak. I don't think they did that with this challenge, which is why the steak was perfect for some and not so much for others.

There's alot of people who won't eat meat that has even a tinge of red in it. They just don't know what they're missing, but.. Yeah.. Ramsay seems to think that the perfect cook is medium rare (If I recall) and if he likes it, then everyone else should, too, I guess.

All those steaks would have been too well done for me. I like them still moo-ing. Steak tartare is perfectly cooked. My husband used to say to his sister and me when he was barbequeing, "We'll just wave theirs over the flame and call it done!" I love prime rib super, super rare, too...

Yet another episode where a strong chef was eliminated solely based on one challenge, whereas chefs like Cutter get to hang around, simply because they made a good pasta dish.

I disagree. ^^ I think Cutter has shown he's as good as or slightly better than Francis. Neither will win I'd say but they are about the same level - bottom 5 of top10.
