It's just started here and I hate the new format of the 'live On the red carpet'
I felt like he was talking to Nikki forever. We did not need that long of an interview with her considering she was just recently on Couple's Therapy and so we heard ALL about their relationship then.
They should have just called the first hour of the show a Bachelor family reunion and then let the new season be the normal two hours that it usually is without the live audience.
I don't like the way the women were introduced this time; I couldn't keep track of their names and it seemed as though some of them got hardly any introduction at all.
My guess is that Britt - a "waitress from Hollywood", is a pretty good actress rather than a real option for Chris the Farmer (even though she seems so now.)
I love me some tacky old Bachelor and Bachelorette!

.
I thought on Couples Therapy that Juan Pablo looked like the rational one and Nikki looked like a spoiled brat.

Yeah, I didn't like that whole red carpet thing either. I mean, it's not the Oscar's! An hour was much too long. Just start the show! Anyway, the girl who came out w/the shorts & cowboy boots then changed into the dress, then got totally trashed was hilarious. I love that he gave her a second chance, I'm hoping she gets drunk again, very entertaining. I don't know why people were so shocked about him kissing Britt. Why not? People kiss on first dates all the time, it's not like this is the 1950's. It's normal & natural. I don't know, they seem to have something together already. I guess we'll see. I don't know how you can really have the hots/connect with someone right away & then have to go through the motions with a bunch of other women. I would just be like forget it, I want to focus on this one, I don't want to pretend. Anyway, I haven't watched this or the Bachelorette for maybe 3 seasons & I had no intention of watching this one but there was nothing else on so I decided eh, I'll watch. Now of course I'll get hooked.
I also hated the additional hour spliced in here & there throughout the episode. So glad I have my DVR & just FF thru all that crap.
I thought 30 ladies was too many. Give Chris a chance to talk with each lady rather than overwhelm him with so many that he feels panicked to be able to talk to everyone.
It will be a season where we viewers can decide where the ladies are their for their own 15 minutes of fame or if they really are interested in a life with Chris in a farming community in Iowa.
I have a question, regarding giving out the roses & the large amount of women. How does the Bachelor or Bachelorette remember the name of the people they're giving the rose out to? How can you possibly remember everyone's name & also align it w/their face? There's no way I could memorize all of that. I'm thinking that each rose has the person's name one it somewhere, maybe a small piece of tape on the stem? Lol, it's just something that I've wondered about ever since I started watching this. Of course in the later episodes when he's getting to know them & they've been whittled down, obviously he knows who he's talking about.

Yeah they have the names on each of the roses. I would think in between the cocktail party and the rose ceremony the Bachelor(ette) talks with producers and Chris Harrison, as well as looks at pictures with names of the contestants, to figure out who they wants to keep.
Otherwise the first rose ceremony would probably consist of the lead pointing at people and saying "You in the pink dress... no not you... other pink dress... blonde hair... yeah you.. Do you accept this rose?"
