I'm surprised Brendan was cut.
Same here. I think he is one of the small group who will actually work.

I noticed that as well. I'm surprised Adam didn't mention it. I'm pretty bored with the show at this point but there are still some fine performances that keep me coming back. I really wish we'd hear actual criticism from the judges and not that constant glowing admiration for everyone. They sound like groupies rather than coaches. How will the singers improve if they never hear anything negative? And this season's decision to open the voting lines at the start of each show seemed wrong too. But they have to change it up to keep viewers watching.

I disagree. I used to love the show when I started watching it a few years ago. I don't care for the changes. This is the first year I've not watched it at all, just watched clips online.

I wish they would have, especially when Darby was singing!

I remember during the blind auditions that We's was the only one that stood out to me and was rooting for her to win, but now I think I prefer Billy.

Really? Did you hear "When We Were Young"? I really liked We's blind as well, but Billy's was the best IMO. And Billy has been consistent We was way beyond her ability as a singer when she did "Home" - song from the Wiz made famous by Diana Ross. (again, my opinion only the audience cheered for We's performance of "Home" I couldn't believe it)

That was NOT a good song choice for Brendan.
Bruce? Yes
Joe Cocker? Yes
Anything bluesy like from JJ Cale and that lot? Yes
Sarah McLachlan> nooooo. Those lyrics need to be heard and understood, Brendon mumbles too much.
I am so disappointed he is gone.

Me too. I was a big fan of hers, but all her songs sound the same now. I agree with the poster who suggested that the Sarah Mc Lachlan song choice was Brendan's undoing. As much as I like his raspy voice, pairing it with that song sounded exaggerated, slurred, and just not good.

I'd rather see We beat Billy, but that's because I find Billy boring.

Honestly don't care who wins - this whole season has been lackluster as heck.
