Although I enjoyed most of the "King of Queens" episodes, I hated, hated, hated the way they ended the series. The funny bickering became irritating and not-funny-at-all when Doug and Carrie started threatening divorce and going through with the adoption. I could have done without the last 6 or so episodes.
On the other hand, I thought the writers did an awesome job of wrapping everything up nicely on "Frasier". They gave the characters time to develop their final stories and it was a feel-good ending for everyone.
I would like someone to explain to me (genuinely) why "How I Met Your Mother" is widely considered one of the worst series endings ever. I binged the show not too long ago and while the final season probably dragged longer than it should on I dont get the hate.
All of them had a good ending, and ended when the shows were still at the top of their game.
Series that did not end well:
PUSHING DAISIES. Not the creators' fault. Blame the network.
WONDERFALLS. Ditto.
SPORTS NIGHT. Ditto.
ALIAS. Blame the creators on this one. Season 3 onward was a mess.
THE DEAD ZONE. The show just went on too long. The story came to its conclusion ... then kept going for two seasons.
HEROES. Season 1 was fun. Season 2 onward was a mess.
THE X-FILES. Last 3 seasons longer than it should have.
The best series ending was Justified. 6 Seasons and the show never had a bad season, a bad season finale or a bad series finale. First, it was a totally unexpected ending for 3 main characters in a violent show that foreshadowed the main character's (Deputy Marshal Raylan Givens) death with a gravestone for him already ready in his family's yard and a song heard at the end of every season except one, sung by different artists.
Here's one of the versions of that song. It has a bit of a long intro:

Can't rep you again, but I couldn't agree more! Thanks for the clip. Back in our Justified thread I predicted that we'd never again be talking about the series after a while--glad I was wrong! It's a classic now.

Because the show should have been called "How I Met Your Stepmother." For 9 years they kept Ted and Robing from actually falling in love just to wrap it all up in 60 minutes.
I loved how The O.C. ended. It was simple and sweet.
I hated how True Blood ended. I hated how the book ended and somehow the TV show managed to end even worse.
I don't know how True Blood ended, couldn't continue watching after the 3rd season started. Also hated how the books ended.
