The race started October 1st. It usually takes about 21 days to run. So season 30 should be in the can now. Now all we can do is wait for CBS to announce when they're going to broadcast it.
Imagine they had a Big Brother Edition and had all the paired couples competing? Brenchel, Jeff n Jordan, Josh n Paul,
Cody n Jess, I'm too brain dead to think of past couples lol.

Hey Tom, you never answered whether you ended up making it there on Oct 1st to see them off in NYC. Did you?
If I read that correctly TAR will be on a total of five times, three of the episodes being two hours long. Interesting, and I'm glad it'll be starting in one month and two days.
Curious to see how Jessica and Cody from Big Brother do. Made the mistake of looking at Twitter the first couple of weeks the race was being filmed. Someone posted too much information that I couldn't take back seeing. My fault for looking, however I did see someone's phone cam video of those two when they started the race, and pictures someone from another country posted of 'Jody' (as they were nicknamed on BB).

I prefer the 2 hour episodes, so that is good news. I don't really care about Jody.

"The second half of the TV year will also feature the 30th season of The Amazing Race (Wednesday, Jan. 3 at 8/7c on CBS and CBS All Access), including a pair of two-hour episodes. A month later, after the conclusions of Big Brother and The Amazing Race, Survivor will head to Fiji for a special two-hour season premiere (Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 8/7c on CBS and CBS All Access)."
That sounds like 8 episodes, two of them being 2 hours, for a total of 10 hours or 10 legs.
Edited to add: Looks like it will be for 8 weeks, but with four 2-hour episodes, for a total of 12 hours/legs.
