I want to quit this show. It's all so depressing. But I want to know what is in the dang letter that the assistant has! And I do love James Roday.
I'm really enjoying the show. I like Maggie and Gary's story line the best, which some might consider the mist depressing. I didn't care for Gary in the first few episodes, but he's quickly become my favorite character on the show.
Yes I like them the best also. It took me a few episodes before I realized where I knew James Roday from. I recognized his voice before I recognized his face because he didn't have the beard on Psych. That was a fun show.
I actually don't find it that depressing...minus the suicide part.
I think this is us is a lot more sad/depressing.
That's probably why I don't watch This is Us as well.
Let's see, besides the suicide, one couple is dealing with depression (and a near suicide), another couple is splitting up, and the final couple is dealing with cancer.
When I first heard of this show, I didn't care to watch it either, but I liked J Roday from Psych so I figured I'd give it a shot. At first, it was depressing and I almost stopped watching but I had it set to record and watched it mainly for lack of anything better. I'm so glad I did. At first I thought the wife was the bad guy for cheating but as you get into the show I understood where she was coming from. In the last few recent episodes you get to understand why the husband committed suicide.
I'm trying very hard to write this post without giving anything away so all I can say.. just give the show another shot. I know it's sluggish in the beginning, but it really does get better. I'm totally hooked on this show now.
Do we know yet why Jon committed suicide? If so what episode? I will look it up on Hulu.
