I’m glad to hear that. The writing is sharp and witty, but I’m wondering where it will go after they wrap up the whole Jon thing.

That's what my husband said. I think it will evolve somehow.

I'm catching up on last night's episode, and it reminded me that I wanted to mention something here ...

Did anyone notice a few episodes ago when Rome was pitching his commercial idea for Hidden Valley Ranch, the show cut to commercial break, and the very first ad was the very commercial he pitched. I was a little confused and not sure if I was seeing show or commercial break (LOL) but I thought that was pretty clever. But I have a feeling that most people didn't pick up on that.

I always watch it on Hulu, so don't see the same commercials. It's a clever way to get people to watch a commercial since I'm sure many thought it was part of the show.

They used the same technique on Mad Men which I think was even more clever. Don Draper pitching the TV ad and then airing one for the same product or showing a "retro" agency talking about the product. Good promotion because Mad Men was set in the 60s and some of the same products/companies are still in business.

I also noticed the Hidden Valley commercial and when I saw the make believe part in the show I originally thought that was shameless product placement when the fictional actor drank salad dressing out of the bottle with a prominent display of the Hidden Valley Label. But obviously there was more to it.

I have a question. When Jon’s wife sold the apartment building in the 11 th hour, before the councilmen voted on the subway stop, are we to assume it was for the whole $18 million she needed to pay Jon’s debt?

No, it wasn't the whole amount. I forget how much they said the offer was for, but that why it was a tough decision to make. She had to either sell before, not getting all the money she needs, or sell after and hope that the vote went through.

So, she is still in a pickle financially then?
