I like Guys triple D show. I haven't seen the family show you were talking about. When does it come on? Food TV will overexpose him too.
The only one that didn't make it was the girl who won (last year)the Next Food Network Star, after that guy Jag withdrew as the winner. I haven't seen her since she won.

The family show was an episode of his new Off the Hook live show he is now doing. He had his mom going down to a fish market that she was miked with cameras following her. Then he was trying to do a dish on stage but kept calling up his son and nephew or other family members to the stage. At one point he told each family member's name then at the end he had them all come up on stage. Both times he said his FIL's name but never mentioned the woman sitting then standing right beside him. One cool move was when he left the studio to find his borrowed pepper mill to find it in the set of Tyler shooting one of his episodes. It was slick how he removed the mill without Tyler missing a beat.
Can anyone explain why he wears a wrist band on his forearm? I don't watch the chefs on food network. I prefer to watch cooking shows in which they are more concerned about taste than presentation. Presentation is meaningless if the food taste like dog food. I'd like to see Food Network offer old classic cooking shows like Justin Wilson and Yan Can Cook.

Some people that have problems with tendonitis from repetive movements wear them. They are more than a wrist band I think they have some pressure point feature to them if that is why he wears it.
I miss Sara Moulton, (sp?) Back in the nineties and before his scandal, I watched The Frugal Gourmet religiously, and he made some good, practical dishes. I like Yan too, he's entertaining.

Thanks, I'll have to look for it. Why do they have to get their family in everything. Everybody's doing that now. Paula Deen with her sons, Rachael with her husband. I think they all get paid if they're on the show
Have any of you had Triple D show case a place close to you? We haven't but I sure wish some of those places were around here to go eat at.
I'm assuming you mean Diners, Drive-In's and Dives (or whatevers it's called)?
If so, yes-he came to Krazy Jim's Blimpy Burger over in the University of Michigan district, but I was in classes that day and didn't even know the show was in town!
