Paula Abdul is quitting American Idol!

I saw her on David Letterman last night and she said that they were still in negotiations, she wasn't "leaving" yet. I don't know what to think anymore. I think this is all made up for the sakes of shows like "E!" and "TMZ". I don't know if any of it is actually true.

I can see why Paula wanted more cash. Both Simon and Ryan are reported to be or had signed contracts worth $45 Million each.

But they just wanted to give Paula $5M a year.

That's a lot of dough for 99% of us, but I can see her point.

I totally see why she would leave. Ryan getting $45 mil? Really? She might be looney but she ain't that looney. You go Paula! How could the producers of the show even imagine that she would be ok with that amount is beyond me.

Big mistake! I like Paula. The producers are either drumming up interest with a fake argument or they are jerks for disrespecting Paula.

Access Hollywood said Ryan got 15 and Simon got 45. Simon was in on developing the show.
