What was wrong with just having 3 judges? I like Ellen but what does she know about music, she is a comedienne. I won't be watching.

I like Eleen but she is a comic and they tend to go to comedy in every way. I just don't think she fits and would perhaps draw the purpose of what the people who are on the show as they take what they are doing seriously. I mean Ellen will lighten things up but I don't think its a great fit

Well, unlike you, that's one train wreck I'm sure I'll be watching. Ellen is fun, she is corky but with her zero singing abilities, she'll have no weight on anyone's decisions. It's mostly for fun and I think at the end people will watch just for that.

I like Ellen too. Maybe she has more in her background that we know about.
