The full moon will be in Pisces tomorrow. It's a good time to help out the downtrodden. With practical needs.

I never liked Pisces. I don't think it even contains any Messier objects.

Default Pisces/Neptune rules over..................

Pisces/Neptune offers us all the great escapes in life to numb the pain of daily living.

Neptune rules over oil (the gas we use in our cars), movies, spirituality,
drugs (both legal and illegal), alcohol, tobacco just to name a few.

And Aquarius gives us electricity, socialism, terrorism. And during Neptune's 15 year transit of Aquarius (1998-2013) more emphasis on electric cars, socialism and terrorism?

And Neptune's transit of capitalistic, greedy Capricorn, the previous 15 years
from 1998? Well, you read the newspapers and watch the news, right?
We're still reeling from it and more to come.

When a planet in our solar system transits a constellation, it's only from our perspective. So, in other words, if you move to another solar system you need to begin by redefining all your constellations (since the relative positions of stars have shifted) and planets. So then what? How do you begin to do that and who decides what goes where and all that?

You hit upon an important point. PERSPECTIVE! That's the key word that drives our lives. EG, two people talking about health care reform SEE very different things. Let's say one person grew up in a very conservative, straight ticket republican family with Rush Limbaugh blaring on the radio, and the other person grew up in a family of medicaid recepients. The different perspective of those two people looking at the same thing are strongly shaped by their environments. So naturally, astrological principles from an earth based perspective would be different than the astrological principles from a different perspective in the universe. In regard to your question about astrology in another solar system; how do you begin to do that and who decides what goes where and all that...I have no clue. Like everyone else on this planet, my perspective is an earth based perspective. If you had some way of presnting your question to those who live in these other solar systems, you might obtain a more relevant answer than anyone participating in this thread can give you.

So, I'm guessing you can't do an astrological reading or whatever for somebody born on the 35th day of the thirteenth month on Alpha Centauri?

Hi everyone, I've decided to visit the thread. I did not think it would continue with all the skepticism but apparently it has! I have a totally FUN suggestion for all of you, something I know even you skeptics can handle. This Saturday go to your local Borders. Have a tea and a cookie if you have been good. What the heck, have a cookie even if you've been bad all week! Go to the astrology section and look for a book called DESTINY CARDS by Robert Camp. Actually get the book first. You don't want to spill your tea on the books. Sit down and look up your card. Then section of the book that contains your yearly spread. Find your year and read the card for your current 52 day period. Then read the preceding cards from earlier in your year. Read your Pluto, Result and Environment cards. Reflect on your life as you enjoy your tea and remember, it's just 52 days, and this too shall pass!!!!!!!! This may uplift you or maybe you'll feel sad, getting a reality check and all can be hard. Maybe your cards are really rocking right now, or maybe they are not. This one book will show you that this divination thing, the idea that life has a fated quality about it, is totally true, and has been for at least ten thousand years if not longer. This is life on the Earth. Live it, love it. But don't say there is no way to predict the future or that none of it, all the various divination systems, can be proved, because that is not true. I think part of it is that most Americans want to control every aspect of their life, which is noble. Hey good luck with that, and may all your money cards pay off. No money cards in the future? Well then go with whatever the cards deal you. I have studied Destiny Cards since '99 and it has got to be the most accurate, true, mind boggling divination system on the planet, maybe even more so than Vedic astrology, but certainly along the same lines.
I LOVE Destiny Cards http://www.7thunders.com/

catrinac.....Many years ago I bought a big thick book on the relationship between the 52 cards and birthdays. I still remember my card because it is the King Of Hearts. ( I'm an avid collector of heart shaped rocks. We have heart rocks all over our property...indoors and out! ). The name Robert Camp seems vaguely familiar, so I'm thinking he may have been the author of that book. I remember that the book had a gold cover, and it described a process for doing a card layout for any year of a persons life. Most of the personality interpretations in the book seeemd to fit, but not everything. This is an interesting system indeed. I still have the book tucked away somewhere. Probably hidden in a box out in the garage ( we moved 3 year ago, but still haven't unpacked the non-essentials ). I love this kind of stuff!

It doesn't matter whether it's the three lines in the newspaper or a detailed chart done by a professional astrologer, and supposedly customized to you, it's a hoax, pure and simple.

jack...of course your opinion is based on your lifelong, in-depth study of astrology, eh?
