Thanks!!

Very pretty, lots of snow in the winter, I think homes are bit on the pricey side up there, but I am not positive about that.

That area gets alot of snow but very pretty. I like Mountain Green which is just out of the canyon, South east of Ogden, East of Layton. It has that country, mountain atmosphere but yet close enough to Ogden or Layton for shopping if you need something. I used to drive through Mountain Green over Trappers Loop to the ski areas....my favorite.

it's sounding pretty good! It looks like I may make it up there in April so that I can check everything out before the big move

It's quite a ways off. September 8th is my official PCS date, but I'm not sure if that's when I have to be there or when I leave to get there.

What is your reason for moving there? It's more of a bedroom community for Ogden area.

I am transferring to Hill AFB in September (maybe a bit sooner), and I'm trying to find out about all the different areas around Ogden before we come up to visit and look around.

Well, if that's the reason, then you ought to be looking a little closer.
Lots of areas nearer to the base than Morgan. Expect at the least a 45 min. drive. Unless it snows, as is apt to happen October to May.
Lots of 'burgs' closer to the 'base' like ROY or HOOPER or OGDEN.

Really, you ought to spend a few days out here to explore the area

PS: the DUCK huntin is superb!!

lol...thanks for the information! We will be there in April the week after Easter, so we'll see what we find when we get there. I'm not opposed to living a little ways out. I used to live an hour away from work and it wasn't too bad, but anymore over that would be too much! I'm also looking at Layton, Roy and North Ogden. It's hard to figure out right now because my significant other will have to find work when we get there (he will be putting resumes out in April when we arrive) so I don't have a clue where he'll end up.
