It is possible! I got a great job today in the NEK... and I am from out-of-state (with lots of in-state connections, however). I was really worried after reading this messageboard for the last 10 months... and with the economic disaster we are in, but it happened! I will be taking a pay cut, but where I currently live pays a lot more than most places so that was expected. Anyway, I hope this news might bring some encouragement to you VT job-hunters out there!

I'll be teaching in Brighton/Island Pond... living in Newport until we find a house. I can't tell you how worried I was about getting a job in the NEK as an out-of-stater! Now I am on the search for real winter clothing (on sale)!
