700 Condos. Wow! What do you think will happen to the development down the road around Marshalls, Home depot and etc...in the next 5 years?
I wonder what the retail area will be like. All of it will be housed in a great lobby on the first two floors. Will it be as elegant as MGM's lobby or something else altogether?

I imagine as NH continues to add residences and office space, some developer will take advantage of the properties close by and redevelop them. Maybe there will be services built on the NH property itself. Still plenty of acreage left to develop.

• 972 seats in restaurants
• 22,000 square feet of entertainment-related spaces
• and accessory uses

*in a Trump voice* That's eeyuge!
Yeah that is huge essentially 2M+ sf will be situated on that parcel. That is going to make a big impact. I also didn't realize they were allocating that much space to restaurants. Is there even 972 seats at the Harbor itself? Its going to be interesting to see this unfold.

It will definitely be a statement. I know the long term plan is for that part of OHR to become some type of grand boulevard with mass transit (BRT or light rail) running down the middle. I can't imagine anything significant happening until after the infrastructure changes happen. Big picture, I think that area will convert to some type of mixed use project with a residential and office component.

I like the whirlpools. Did Safer do the air force spires in Arlington? That's what they remind me of.

There will be public access to the cemetery as a memorial. There also appears to be an enclosed walkway from the hotel/condos to the MGM main building as indicated on many of the slides. There will also be penthouses. And I'm sure they will have great views of DC.

I'd look to a 2019 opening for this if approved.

Its interesting how this hasn't garnered more attention in the media considering the size and impact that this project will have. I guess they are trying to minimize the opposition to it.
