Today was the warmest day of the month in Buxton, reaching 13.3°C, 56°F. However, it was not the warmest day of the year, which was February 23rd, reaching 14.4°C, 58°F. This mild March has not seen any particularly large deviations from average, just continuously mild. The fact is that even in some Aprils we don't get above 13°C or so, so that shows how mild it's been too.

Looks like Buxton might have a shot at reaching 15°C over the weekend, however could be too much cloud around for that. The April could be fairly cool by the latest outputs so if not this month I may be waiting until late in that month or May perhaps to see temperatures reach such levels.

Chicago set another record high today of 81. Yesterday made it all the way to 87! We've had 8 days of 80 degree temps this month, which has tied the most 80 degree days for the month of APRIL!

A change is coming, though. While it's 81 here, it's 57 in St. Louis, 4 1/2 hours to the southwest.

85F in Calais, Maine right now.

What is really amazing though is that it is in the 70s/80s in Nova Scotia and in the mid 30s on Newfoundland. Halifax is 82F and sunny and St. John's is 32F with freezing rain.

What is with these places well to the north getting into the 80's? I'm jealous lol.

It's 76 here and I'll take it with open arms, it is March after all.

The morning fog and cloudcover has negated some of the warmth the past several days in our region. Yesterday it didn't get out of the 60s and I'm pretty far from the coast. Meanwhile it was well into the 70s in Upstate NY and NNE.

If the US/Canada had these same unique (is it unique?) synoptics in midsummer, what sort of temperatures would you feasibly be getting?

Tonight 13C. Tomorrow 16C. Saturday 8C/9C. Sunday 14C/6C. Monday 7C/-1C. Tuesday 8C/-4C. Wednesday 12C/3C are the numbers forecasted for the next week so far (roughly 45F to 60 F highs and 25F to 40s F lows).
