Cambium you must have a really hefty electricity bill! Ironically even if it's much much cooler here, my room's currently at 77°F, exactly the same temp as outside.

Well, what one considers hefty, another might not. It averages $170/mth in the summer. $90/mth in winter. USD. It all evens out since during the winter I use a wood stove (free heat). so I dont pay for oil.

Here it's the other way round, a lot of people actually have electricity heating! This leads to huge consumption peaks in winter. Fortunately, by 2013, with the new regulation, it will become nearly impossible to install such systems in new buildings.
Look closely and you can see the Heat Island capital of the country. LOL NYC is the only spot to have a Heat Advisory in the NorthEast (aside from the Heat Warning in Central/Souththern NJ)
Severe pop-up thunderstorm passing JUST BARELY to the north of my area. I don't think that my area will get directly hit, but it's awfully close and we might just get clipped by this nasty looking storm.
Columbia, SC reached a high of 104 F and a peak heat index of 117 F. But the temperature tumbled from 100 F to 83 F in an hour due to a storm. Right now it's only 74 F. There was an even more impressive drop in Macon, GA. High reached 105 F, but fell 28 F within an hour to 77 F. Louisville, KY reached a high of 102 F - temp fell from 97 F to 75 F.
Currently 90 F with a dewpoint of 71 F. Heat index is 96 F. But not nearly as hot and humid as it is south of here. Here's some current conditions:
