I'm just looking outside my living room window, there's thick fog but the moon is shining brightly above the houses.. far too foggy to see the stars so the moon looks like it's been stuck onto a black board.. very eerie

Summer of 2012 gone to the dogs in the UK. Lucky you are indeed to be escaping from this hellish chaos this year.

England's cloudiness and rain frequency is an utter joke, can't wait to be rid of this place. Only woodlice can survive such a gloomy hole without getting severe depression. It doesn't have a real climate at all, no proper weather like most other countries. I am applying for jobs in Australia right now. I like proper "Alpha" climates with distinct seasons and weather, or at least exciting weather. Certainly, ones with proper summers. I can't understand why anybody seriously wanted to inhabit these lame subarctic Islands.

There's actually a town (well....a few buildings) in Qld called Alpha. I was working just north of there last year between Oct-Dec.

Clermont climate, averages and extreme weather records

Clermont is about 150km to the NE of Alpha.

In the meantime, why not just relocate back to London/Surrey/Berkshire, where summers are much better than anywhere else in the UK?

Monday morning people in the northeast will wake up and want their coffee hot.. Its going to be a chilly July morning for many. I cant wait to finally breath again.

Here's the culprit... Cold front dropping down from Canada thanks to the Ridge moving to the West.

Here are the Minimum temps (based on the GFS)

Because most sane people don't allow the weather to affect them so much they actually start feeling depressed, unless they have medical reasons such as SAD. Weather is just a hobby to me, nothing else, I certainly won't allow it to affect my daily life (if you have actually a life of course).

I'm really not trying to be rude here either, all the incessant moaning and whining and complaining I've come across on weather forums is unbelievable, do people have nothing better to do? Jobs, school? Nobody I know in real life gets this upset over cloudy or wet weather, likewise I never get very upset when it's hot. I'm genuinely starting to think some people might have serious medical issues.

Oh, I do and I have no medical issues at all. Healthy, active and in shape but I will moan and complain in the summer
... It might not come through in my posts but my whole attitude is lighter and happier when there's at least refreshing air coming. The "type" of complaining I do with friends and family I would never do online. I don't think readers need to read that. I will express myself but not bother people with my constant complaints. There's a therapy forum for that. Lol

Far from truth.
