I haven't really been following British weather much recently as it has been so boring compared to what I've been reading about on here. Turns out Scilly has not gone below 6.4C so far this month and is still holding an average as high as 10.4C! Parts of Scotland too have been giving their October averages a run for their money, never mind what they'd usually get/did get in November.
San Francisco got colder than 6.4°C! Though average is higher than 10.4°C.
Edit: Nope. San Francisco's average was exactly 10°C Impressive the Scilly Isles is warmer especially in December despite being 13° or so further north. San Francisco's average was dragged down a bit by a cold spell in the second week, with a week of 5-10°F below normal.
Looks like a really poor winter shaping up for southern Scandi and the Baltics - central and northern parts of Scandi can expect a snow pack regardless.
Weekend looks pretty nice for late December in much of the USA:
Temps in the 60's and 70's up both the East and West Coast.....warm to hot in Florida in the 80's F.....and moderate 30's and 40's in the upper Western States. The only really cold air (single numbers to upper 20's F) hangs on in the Upper Midwest/northern Plains:

Northern Florida is been having a nice run of above average temps,
seems like most of December.
Jacksonville ...10 to 15 degrees above normal, at least.

Yes...been quite nice in Florida this December.
Then again it's Florida - the weather is always nice - lol
