The "remnants" of the Norwegian storm blasted over us this morning. No casualties have been reported, but rail traffic was halted and 200,000 homes are without electricity. The strongest gust recorded has been 113 km/h (70 mph).
Hit Central Finland hardest, so we missed the worst of it, here the gusts were around 50 mph at most.
With the storm that past through, the Ski resorts in the mountains of Western US are ecstatic. A ton of snow fell from Washington to Colorado. 2 snowstorms in 1 weekend for some.
Maybe it's just me but on the latest forecasts this "cold spell" does seem to be watering down with every update or getting delayed further and further... at one point they showed highs of 1°C for 19th-20th, now it's highs of 4-5°C and pretty normal for the time of year. Nothing at all significant. Not trolling OK, just pointing out observations.
Weather you think he's a troll or not, Summer Sun on netweather is pointing out fact when he says that the 850hpa temps all come back above average after a week on the ensembles.
Posting that even despite the fact most people want cold is not trolling, if anything adding some balance to the situation.

It has watered down a lot and isn't even a cold spell anymore - but I still dislike Summer Sun.
Oh LOL the coldies really are clutching at straws now. Now the main models don't show what they want to see, they are trying to post obscure charts from models nobody uses like the "GME".
