Have you even been to Newark dean. How about you shut your mouth and give me head peace.

Talk about arrogant.

You don't need to go to Newark - you just need to look at historical weather data. A high of 22C in Newark in July would be like a high of 12-13C here.

Not really. I've been looking at the data and it seems to record at least one high of 23/24c in both July and August each year.

Anyway who cares i'm just making the point that it could be hotter here if we were to have a heatwave.

GFS (uses F) has 93F for Heathrow on July 2nd. 88F on July 4th. That is like July 4th over here usually. Hope it happens!

Euro model has 30C on the 1st, 33C on the 2nd, and 28C on the 3rd, and 27C on 4th.Nice!

When both are showing it, looks like maybe not those exact temps, but definitely above average to well above average.

I'll keep checking.

To all who are going to argue that "Kew Gardens is more representativ of London" deal with it, Heathrow is your official recording station...Central park is NYC official station and while many other downtown stations reached 90F long before it we waited until Central park hit that benchmark to state that "NYC has recorded its first 90F day" I believe we should, for the sake of consistency, do the same for London.

Quit trolling with this rubbish. You know full well it HAS already hit 80F in London, just because it wasn't recorded at Heathrow... It was recorded by an official Met Office weather station in London. Deal with it as you are sounding as petty & immature as Owen

What is the humidity in London when it reaches 30+? Here when it gets warm to hot, the humidity is very low 15-30%

Its very humid which is why I don't like hot weather here. Its not like Spain.

I think when it was 30c here the dew point ran from 19c to 21c.
