Not really, it happens every 3 years or so, 32 is every 1.5 years.

You're predicting 30C at the begin of the month, 32C two weeks later, 33.6C another two weeks later.

That indeed is wishful thinking.

That has happened loads of times before. A normal summer it wouldn't be unusual to have 30c every few weeks. They are usually not bunched up in one week. 2005 was a normal summer yet every month between May and September recorded 30c.

Heathrow hasn't, but Kew has.

Kew is closer to central London than Heathrow, so it does still count.
I don't agree with people cherry picking stations within their city, to use the warmest or coldest temperatures, as is often the case on here. But as the thread title isn't about a specific station, but London in general, it has reached that temperature.

B87 will be along soon, so prepare yourself...

Kew Gardens is an official Met Office station and it happened there, so yes it did. Everybody else uses multiple stations, eg in Chicago, so why is it frowned on when it's in London? Is it just because I called you out for using inaccurate weatherspark data?

No but when I look up "London" and look at weather history for "London" I see heathrow data which shows a high of 78F. I am not disputing that parts of London hit 80F but for this threads purposes it did not...The quest continues. My guess is June 22

^^

Official temps don't always tell the whole story

In Chicago's case MDW is much more representing of the city itself then is ORD. Look at a map and you will see that ORD is only connected to the city of Chicago's borders by a single street... and for me I live 35 miles south of MDW why wouldn't I use an official NWS station closer to my home if it better represents local conditions?
