Here, palmetto is common in low-lying areas that have more hardwoods. Pine forests here don't have much palmetto, and are usually sandy and somewhat hilly.

I wish we kept track of the sky each day. I feel like this haze is the norm for this entire area in general in Summer. I think we had maybe 7 full days of clear blue skies since May. Rest have been cloudy, Partly Cloudy or just muggy and hazy.

From Port Chester, NY (Southern NY). Typically can see the water and Long island from here but not this morning.. Dewpoints in the upper 60s creating nasty air.

Garden was still wet this evening after heavy rain over the weekend. This is the lowest spot that gets the most standing water.



Saw a nice Cherokee Purple tomato, but after picking it saw that a bird got it.



Also some tomatoes have been rotting while still on the vine. I've still been able to get some good fruits.

Some peppers. Most of them aren't doing as well as usual.
