I am just back from my 10pm walk! I should do this more, it was bright to 10:40 I didn't think it would be bright enough to walk to that time.

Taken at 10:40..

Welcome to Southport. July 3, 2015

Was in Beacon Falls, CT before, just a beautiful area!! (30 min NE of me)

Nice ride on Route 8. Wish I-95 was this empty. lol Notice.... no ugly buildings popping up anywhere.

Very nice area. Any thought of you moving up there, to get away from the traffic and ugly buildings? I could definitely handle living in a place like Southport myself.

Rediscovered an old photo from 2011. Sylvan Lake in the Black Hills of South Dakota.

Pics from this morning. Needed to get a bit of mountain time in before heading to the beach for a week...lol.

Nelson Creek Falls:

It's nice to be able to walk out to the stream - unlike a lotta places that have it all fenced off.

It'd be nice to see what it looks like when it hasn't been raining.

Where the AT crosses the highway - there's a 1930's stone inn at this location which is currently used as a hiker's supply shop and hostel for AT users ($17 a night.)

Picnic area for when it's not so wet...lol.

View from 3100 feet.

Backside of the lodge (forgot to take a pic of the front...lol.)

Just a couple pics from the hike - not much to see anyhow.

Not too exciting, I know - but perhaps I'll be able to get some good storm shots at the beach. Keeping my fingers crossed we'll get some good boomers down there.

The grass here in the summer is even worse because not only is it very dry, but also very sunny, so every summer the grass looks like it was set on fire.
