66/67 had mixed temps but loads of snow, plus Chicago's biggest blizzard that February. Followed by one of the ****tiest summers on record.

83/84 Coldest December on record. Absolutely brutal. I remember it. Very cold Jan. Warmer than average Feb. Much colder than average March. Following summer was good.

New York had a major February blizzard which I remember well. Apparently there was a March one I don't remember. January was pure torch though. The summer of 1967 sucked big ones in the New York area (except for a few hot days in June), though where I was at sleepaway camp in Massachusetts it wasn't terrible. It wasn't as good as the scorching summer of 1966 or the somewhat hot summer of 1968.

In New York we had a major cold snap (short so I won't call it a cold wave) around Christmas. January wa apparently cold but not memorable. February was torch and March was cold. That summer in early June we had a major heat wave (similar to both 1967 and 2008) but little heat the rest of the summer.
