I doubt that your negative anomalies (or Tom's) comes close to mine these last few years when compared to the most recent 30 year average....

Geez take look at how negative February and July have been compared to the long term average..... Only December has been significantly positive, and that's because of the past December, and May barely squeaked out a positive. We will see what this May brings,

I seem to remember that from last year. I agree. You guys deserve a hot summer, and Seattle deserves a cold summer. They have had a warm run for a while now.

Says May and June would be the hotter months in the East, not April. CFS shows May as cooler but hopes its wrong otherwise their forecast will be in jeopardy.

April is going to have lots of cold shots.

Precip departures

And yet again look at the PNW. Nothing but warmth.

I hope that precipitation forecast becomes true. I would love for April-June to be wetter than average.

And they deserve multiple years in a row of below avg winters. I want to see blue anomalies every month next winter over the PNW.

Oh uh. Fuel for Tom...

This morning's temps at 4500'.

An Impressive dig south of the cold airmass in the Northeast. The -10°C at the Mid Levels dropped south to Virginia. That's the furthest south than anywhere else in the entire Northern Hemisphere. lol

I see this happen A LOT. Gotta love the ability for cold air to travel over land or snow.

Right now it's colder than -13° above 4000 feet during the day north of Philly. That's single digits F.

Even with full sun, the surface has a hard time warming up with an airmass this cold above us.

It's 2pm and its in the 30s with Full sun over Long Island and NYC. Feels like February outside...and with wind it feels even colder

Even though the humidity is low and temps aren't THAT hot, it still feels really hot to me outside.
