I was thinking while going to the grocery store right now, that it's July 28 and either at or past peak summer. Then I remember I'm in Miami and it hasn't happened yet.

Moronic weather presenter on BBC just talked of the 'recent humidity' during our nights..

It's been pretty average, I don't know what the hell she is on about, DPs have been 17C max during night which is near enough what our DPs are at this time of year anyway.

Your dewpoints average 17°C; that's fairly humid. Higher than here at night. Average daily min dewpoint here 13°C, though it's not always at night. Min averaged 60°F, so the nightly dewpoint has to be below 60°F (~15.5°C)

Our afternoon dewpoints at this time of year are around 15-16c, so 17c isn't out of the ordinary at all.

They do say nonsense in forecasts sometimes, like 20c and mostly cloudy being described as a 'fine and warm day in any sunny spells', even though it's 4c below average.

Our lows over the past week have been what you'd expect at the time of year.

Doesn't London have similar average lows to you in summer?

I think Nei averages about 14C-15C nights in July If i'm not mistaken? So almost the same as Heathrow, and maybe slightly cooler than central London.. of course he also gets warmer days though and more sun

And yeah I'm not really sure when our max dew point is normally achieved, but in July/August we can expect 16C (a bit lame) as the daily max, not sure about min.. the nights in question she was talking about had 12C-14C dew points with one night at 17C, so not exactly humid
