Please, let's not flood the forums with "when will" threads, but keep it all in one single thread and you can ask and reply in one thread.

Like, "when will Turku hit its first freeze"? How many of you have even the faintest idea when it could be? Not many. Or when will Lexington go below a 10C high for the first time? Who would know, and how could anybody know?

So let's keep these kind of questions in this one, right?

As for the OP Preach it!

Since I prefer to keep my exact location undisclosed I'm going with the east coast south of Stockholm in general since it is ultra-similar.

First high below 15c? 18th September
First high below 10c? 6th October
First high below 5c? 2nd November
First high below 0c? 27th November
First frost? 14th October
First snow? 25th November (wet snow)

Last high below 15C was 3 June. Last high below 10C was in April.

First high below 15C could occur at the back end of this month, and below 10C in November.

When will it hit 30˚C in Perth, I'm predicting 12th October, very late this year, maybe record late. It's been so cold so far.

When will Sydney (Observatory Hill) get its first 30C since July 1? The last ten years:

2015 Oct 4
2014 Sep 29
2013 Sep 7
2012 Sep 28
2011 Sep 18
2010 Nov 13
2009 Sep 13
2008 Sep 13
2007 Oct 1
2006 Sep 19

It's probably not going to occur in the next two weeks, but I'm hoping it still happens in September.

Very good thread.

As for Melbourne Airport:

First 30°C = October 19
First 35°C = December 6 (my bday!! )
First 40°C = January 7

Feel free to add your own guesses as well.

Our typical first sub 90° high is Oct 3rd (occured Sept 7th this year), normal high drops below 90° Oct 13th

Our typical first sub 80° high is Nov 1st, normal high drops below 80° Nov 14th

Our typical first sub 70° high is Nov 26th, normal high drops below 70° Dec 6th

Our typical first sub 60° high is Dec 8th, normal high bottoms out at 65°

High's below 50° only occur every 3-4 years

Our typical first sub 70° low is Sept 30th, normal low drops below 70° on Oct 6th

Our typical first sub 60° low is Oct 24th, normal low drops below 60° on Nov 1st

Our typical first sub 50° low is Nov 21st, normal low drops below 50° on Nov 28th

Our typical first sub 40° low is Dec 4th, normal low bottoms out at 43°

In the last 15 years, the temperature has only gone below 30° around 5 times (29° all 5 of them), so only sub 30° every 5 years on avg

Turku first freeze / overnight air frost: Oct 6th.
Londons first freeze/air frost: November 15th.
Melbourne first 30C: Sep 20th
Melbourne first 35C: Dec 10th
Perth first 30C day: Oct 2th.
Sydney first 30C day: Sep 18th

Guess these four:

A) First overnight freeze /air frost in Trondheim (recorded at the airport, Værnes)?
Last year was very late, Oct 28th.
My guess: Oct 8th

B) First ice-day (sub 0C high) in Trondheim (Værnes)?
Last year did not happen untill Nov 21th.
My guess: Nov 2th.

You probably have no clue about these two:
C) First ice-day in Lillehammer? Only one station there, 240 m asl.
D) First ice-day in Tromsø: (station: Tromsø-Holt 20 m asl)
