I consider winter Nov 21st-Mar 10th; lowest temp this winter will prob be between 33°F/0.6°C and 36°F/2.2°C, and highest temp will prob be 86°F/30°C

Did you just pull that off your hat, or do you remember me mentioning something like that? Because 5-6 October is the average date!

I can't say when 15C and 5C for London, but I say that the first sub 10C is in the last week of October. 29th maybe?

Perth first 30C day: Oct 2th.
Sydney first 30C day: Sep 18th

Guess these four:

A) First overnight freeze /air frost in Trondheim (recorded at the airport, Værnes)?
Last year was very late, Oct 28th.
My guess: Oct 8th

B) First ice-day (sub 0C high) in Trondheim (Værnes)?
Last year did not happen untill Nov 21th.
My guess: Nov 2th.

You probably have no clue about these two:
C) First ice-day in Lillehammer? Only one station there, 240 m asl.
D) First ice-day in Tromsø: (station: Tromsø-Holt 20 m asl)

november 13th
october 28th

coldest temperature in gothenburg this winter?
my guess -16.1C

A) A week later than here. I say 15 October.

B) Who knows? 20 November.

C) Isn't Lillehammer surprisingly cold at times? 8 November.

D) I'm not familiar with Tromsö's climate, can't answer.

---

For Turku I say 9 October for the first freeze. The first ice day can be in November or it can be in January. Who knows? I say 24 December.

I looked up the averages for Turku and saw the low in October is 3c, so went for early Oct with your variability.

October's lowest high here is usually between 10-12c, but we generally have to wait until November for the 10c barrier to be broken.

If predictions about a mild winter are correct, I struggle to see Gothenburg fall below -12C all winter...

Having said that it can change very rapidly in this country. On the Baltic Sea coastline it is guaranteed to reach -15 at some point where I am, the only exceptions to that pretty much can be found in Stockholm's large UHI and Norrköping's minor one.

I predict Vancouver's first frost will be November 18th and will have 1 ice day which will be on New Years Day.
