We have another storm coming across the country. It's currently about to enter the West coast.
By Saturday & Sunday it will be in the Mid West and Northeast on Sunday or Monday (depending on speed)

Even if a location changes to rain we will use the total snow that fell for this event.

Here are the locations in the poll. Choose who you think will get the most snow from this storm.

Whats with that spot for you? I forget. Is there someone that measures snowfall there that we can check after a storm? I do the NWS climo sites just cause it's easy to check and obviously legit.

Oh you didn't know?

It's the snowiest spot in Eastern US!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hought...chigan#Climate

218 inches per winter!

So, it'd better have those kinds of estimates...

Wiki? Where the source of that data goes to a website for that city? No..

If we're ignoring Mt Washington, there's a few other spots that have over 175" for normal snow. Look into Highmarket, NY or Herman, Michigan with 214" (Source is legit from NOAA's official climate database)

Here's a look at the snowfall normal using official data..

That's a cool link. I wonder why it leaves out some places in the west and Alaska though.

Is there a ski lift on Mt. Washington? There isn't on Rainier.

So, why not include Mt. Baker, WA at 641 inches a year, or Alyeska, Alaska at 600-650 inches a year, depending on source. These are places, like Alta, where people actually go and enjoy all of that snow.

I'm not liking the poll cities either. I pick Benton Harbor, Michigan area. Along with NW Indiana! Always a lot of lake effect snow!!
