Could be 20-30 degrees cooler tomorrow and Tuesday in parts of the metro area tho...
Look how much cooler it will be near the Lake.. Really 64 degrees?
^^
Lakeshore water temps are barely 68F/20C right now. Who would want to swim in that? Especially if the temps are in the 60s?

Where are you? It's 72° in Philly.
Mid 80s in D.C and 60s not far away in PA. Sun vs Clouds. Wow.
Wow at the 90s in Montana & Iowa. Farmers loving it...I think. Maybe too hot too fast?

It's not the temps that they love, but the drier conditions lately which will allow them to plant
After a cool off this week, temps rebound next week as trough digs out west

It has stayed around 69F or 70F all afternoon. 69F right now, and clouds look like they are thinning on the western horizon.
Just checked and we have reached or surpassed 90F just 4 days so far this year (warmest temp was 92F).
We may approach 90F again this weekend (NWS calls for 89F on Saturday/Sunday).

You mean they havent planted yet? Then yeah I agree, need things to dry out. but a moist soil is good too for the roots (not for planting).
Thats why a long snowpack is prefered. Keeps soil moist underneath. Once plants are in they do love temps over dryness. They prefer dryness over wetness.
Yup, we need to see the west cool down in order to entire East in heat.
