Paris is up there too, but London is amazing.

Sunny days happen several times every winter month. Just most of the time it's mostly cloudy in winter.

If you spend a week in London in January, a typical breakdown would be maybe 1 sunny day, 1-2 partly cloudy days, 3-4 mostly cloudy days, 1 overcast day.

In summer, maybe 2 sunny days, 3 partly cloudy days and 2 mostly cloudy days.

You get to predict when the first 30, 32 and 35 days will be. Firstly, it actually needs to reach 80f though. In a normal year, I'd say that forecast would be understating the temps. Post-2007, it may not even happen.

when it is sunny in London in winter the sun is so low in the sky it's always hidden behind the buildings , the same applies to football matches in winter at Premier league grounds - no visible shadows on the pitch -too low in the sky .

Maybe this adds to the gloom factor ,as if it's not gloomy enough already in winter.

I've physically seen about 50 hours of sun this month lol , Torshaven has seen more sun this month - it's bl0ody awful

I'm going to ask Junter if he has any spare rooms or even Lommaren might be able to assist

It looks like permacloud out there today - January stylee

During the first half of this month we were heading towards record-breaking levels of sunshine, but the last week or so will probably see it end up about average if the trend continues.

There has been a huge difference between the SE amd NW this month. We started the month with terrible sun hours and never recovered.

May is normally the sunniest month in the northern half of the island anyway. I think it's July/August here, we're not that far north, even though it's said to be in the "north-west".

I think B87 kinda puts the kiss of death on London's climate. The weather Gods do not take kindly to all this complaining!
